A famous classical and Turkish percussionist, Aykut Köselerli’s musical journey began at Bilkent University, where he graduated under the mentorship of Aydın Mecid.
Aykut has performed both as a soloist and accompanist on an enchanting musical journey with prestigious orchestras such as New Japan Philharmonic and WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne, and famous conductors such as John Axelrod, Howard Griffiths and Gennady Rozhdestvensky.
Aykut, one of the percussionist of the Samsun State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, premiered Fazıl Say’s remarkable compositions, demonstrating his mastery in darbuka, bendir, kudum and classical percussion.
